Wildlife and Outdoor Photography Pre-shoot Camera Checklist
We've developed the MIFFED pre-shoot camera checklist to help wildlife and outdoor photography enthusiasts avoid having the wrong camera settings when going out on a shoot.
Miffed stands for:
M - Mode - generally AV or Program - whichever works for you.
I- ISO - As low as possible but generally about 400 when I’m shooting wildlife.
F - Focus Mode - single shot or continuous focus.
F - Focus Point - In the centre - adjust as necessary.
E - Exposure compensation - I usually have mine set to -⅔ - adjust as necessary.
D - Drive mode - usually on continuous high.
