Roger and Pat de la Harpe Photography

Based in South Africa, we specialise in wildlife, travel, conservation and lodge photography.

We are freelance photographers and writers based in South Africa and share a passion for conservation, natural history, wild places and indigenous cultures. We make frequent excursions into various regions of Africa in pursuit of great stories and imagery and our work has featured in numerous local and international publications. We have published 27 coffee table books, many of which are a celebration of nature and the environment. As part of our commitment to using our photographic and writing skills to greater affect, two of our latest books, In Search of the African Wild Dog and In Search of the African Lion, have a strong conservation emphasis. We hope, in this way, to increase public awareness of these two species and their current dire predicament.

We own and manage Africa Imagery, a niche image bank of the people, wildlife and landscapes of the African continent.

We've been involved in professional wildlife, travel, conservation and lodge photography for 30 years, creating the best photographs and movies we can for our valued clients and several photo libraries and agents around the world. Let us bring all that experience to your shoot.
